Notice to all contractors who bid work in State of Nevada;
This notice is to inform all signatory contractors within the California District Council of new REQUIRED Osha classes for all construction workers in the State of Nevada.
To enhance safety in the construction workplace, the 2009 Nevada Legislature enacted Assembly Bill 148 that requires workers to complete an Occupational Safety and health Administration " OSHA " 10 Hour safety course and supervisors to complete a 30 Hour OSHA Training course no later than 15 days after being hired. The completion of safety course is valid for (5) years. This Bill becomes effective January, 2010. Please see attachment!
To ensure all Ironworkers are eligible the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Facility is conducting the following OSHA 30 Hour courses; September 28, 29, 30, October 1, 2 ( Time 4:00- 8:00 p.m. total 20 hrs ) & October 3, 2009 (Time 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. 10 hrs) OSHA 30 hr card. October 26, 27, 28, 29, 2009 ( Time 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. ) Osha 30 hr. card. November 2, 3, 4, 5, 2009 ( Time 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. ) Osha 30 hr. card. December 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 ( Time 4:00- 8:00 p.m. total 20 hrs ) & December 19, 2009 (Time 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. 10 hrs) OSHA 30 hr card.
